The Insult Thread [Archive] - FileSharing Talk

The Insult Thread [Archive] - FileSharing Talk: "In future, wake up the dozy peglegged hamster operating that wheel-powered brain of yours before you start typing. I refer to your latest discharge of plebeian verbiage; in which, you have proven, once again, that there is no such thing as unutterable nonsense. You should offer your posting style to hospital operating theatres as a highly-effective alternative to unconsciousness-inducing medications.

In closing, why don't you put your glasses on backwards and walk into yourself?"

I love these remarks, very well put into words what someone means by: thanks for the chat.

visone - analysis and visualization of social networks

visone - analysis and visualization of social networks Great tool, but be sure to backup your work before analyzing the input.
See this example between 136 nodes with 424 links:

7 nodes have a connection probability of 0%, (outer nodes)
6 nodes = 0.59% conn. prob., (nodes on blue dotted circle)
1 node = 0.60% conn. prob.,
34 nodes = 0.68% conn. prob. (outer circle)
66 nodes = 0.79% conn. prob. (middle circle)
1 node = 0.80% conn. prob.
21 nodes = 0.95% conn. prob. (inner circle)

Also very good for analyzing webs of lies.

GeoProof

GeoProof
I tried to get CoqIde working on my XP, but it failed to do so, because for missing DLL's. Other user interfaces for Coq also failed: CygTeXmac with tmEgg and Xemacs with Proof General. And even if you copy all the dll's from the Geoproof folder to the Coq/bin folder, it still doesn't work and the newer versions of GTK and Pango don't work for the CoqIde either.
Only Java (1.4!) based Pcoq seemed to work, until you want to type more then one variable. Pitty. The Coq programm on its own does the job well thoug.

WaarMaarRaar.nl - McFight in Maarssen

the trap

The Trap: whatever happened to our dream of freedom.
pt.1 F**k you buddy.
A documentary about game theory and the cold war and its consequences for the system
until the fall of the Berlin wall. Explains the rationalization of economics, politics and psychiatry by (public service and corporate) management through numbers, targets and incentives.
Very good insight in the mental state of individuals from the society from the cold war. And the divergent state it then emulated in the concept of Freedom.
pt.2 The lonely robot.
Where the sell out of the politics to the market democracy (market consent) eventually becomes criticized.
pt.3 We will force you to be free.
The development of negative freedom and by american neocons forced upon Russia and Irak, using the simple human economic model. It shows the similar lies they used for the sandinistas and Irak.
This documentary is also available on YouTube

The BBC really achieved at least one target his time.
From the same director: The power of nightmares: The Rise of the Politics of Fear (on the rise of the neocons and radical islam and its comparisons)
and The century of self (on Freud utilized into consumerism, marketing and mass democracy)
These documentaries are political-economical (post)modern history that once again show that nice politics from nice people don't exist. It got a 9+ on imdb.com, more of adam curtis in wikipedia.com
